The course is aimed at the basic understanding of terminology, principles, and concepts of chemistry. Topics covered include chemical nomenclature, periodic table, stoichiometry and basic analytical techniques for soil, air, and water. Emphasis is placed on the chemical substances that are of environmental concerns and on lab conduct.
