This course features two-dimensional drafting functions and techniques in a logical, sequential format. Previous computer experience is required, drafting experience is an asset. Topics covered will include: - basic groundwork by focusing on both paper and model space - managing drawings by using layers, line weights and line types - creating object blocks - dimensioning drawings - editing text - manipulating and plotting drawings. The emphasis of the introduction to AutoCAD will be hands-on examples to learn the basics of the program. This course will NOT focus on job-specific drafting techniques. Prerequisite: experienced computer user.
