This optional course offers the learner an opportunity to further develop and enhance effective business communication skills.Fostering effective communication skills encompasses making decisions about what to communicate and when, as well as dealing proactively with communication barriers and issues.As successful communicators, leaders are expected to be able to differentiate between criticism and feedback and handle difficult communications, including letting someone go or having difficult discussions with workers.The participants of this two day workshop will discover, discuss and strengthen their communication techniques through a variety of mediums visual, verbal and written.Participants will also learn several communicational skills and tools to manage appropriate messages in situations such as one-on-one meetings, group meetings, presentations, email, conflict and crisis, which will assist them in becoming an effective leader.(14 Hrs) Note: This course is eligible for credit in the Strategic Leadership in Action Certificate.
