This first practice nursing course provides opportunities for the learner to gain experience as a member of the interdisciplinary health-care team by providing safe, holistic and evidence informed nursing care within a continuing care setting following the standards of practice for a practical nurse. This course involves 5 weeks of instructor-supervised clinical practice in a continuing care center. Prerequisites:ANPHN 100, ANPHN 101, HEED 102, COMM 103, PAPHY 105, PN 158, PN 155, Alberta Health Services mandatory certifications, CPR Level C for Health Care Providers, Clear Police Information Check ( formerly known as a Criminal Record check) and Vulnerable Sector check, up-to-date immunizations. Co-requisite: PHARM 130, PN 156
