Moodle (iLearn) Course – Bring your own device to your class Challenges faced by construction managers are vast and include managing contractors and suppliers, controlling project costs and cash flow, and managing, interpreting and understanding legal documents.Course content includes concepts related to the legal system, construction contract law, interpreting documents, insurance, bonding, warranties and guarantees, contract terms & conditions, litigation process, and implications of national, provincial and municipal codes, by-laws, acts and regulations on a project.This course will equip you with the knowledge and the skills necessary to manage, understand, and interpret contracts as they relate to the construction industry.(39 Hrs) Textbook: Introduction to Contracts, Bruce MacDougall, LexisNexis Canada. Qualifies for 6 Special Industry Course credits towards Gold Seal Certification. Note: This course is eligible for credit in both the Construction Management Certificate and the Contract Development & Administration Certificate.
