Gain experience as a member of the interdisciplinary health-care team by providing safe, holistic, and best- evidenced nursing care to clients in an acute care surgery setting following the standards of practice for a practical nurse. This course involves instructor- supervised clinical practice on an acute care surgical unit. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all first year courses, Alberta Health Services mandatory certifications, CPR Level C for Health Care Providers, Clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector check, up-to-date immunizations, PN 200
