Many aspects of human health are affected by the environment, and many diseases can be initiated, promoted, sustained or stimulated by environmental factors. For that reason the interactions of people with their environment are an important component of public health. This course introduces students to the complexity of environmental health issues facing society today. Prerequisite: Chemistry 261 or consent of the department.
