This course deals with the field diagnosis and treatment of pre-hospital emergencies at the paramedic level. Diagnosis is made through a combination of physical exams, systems, patient histories, and diagnostic tests carried out in the field. Students will apply different diagnosis techniques to life threatening conditions that can be mitigated in the field. Focus will be on differentiating life-threatening conditions from conditions that should be managed in the hospital.
