The focus of this course is developing strategies to support school age children’s language and literacy development. Patterns of development in language and literacy are examined. Supports for English Language Learners will be studied, with an emphasis on incorporating Indigenous teachings and literature into language and literacy settings. The importance of creative use of quality literature to establish a language-rich environment will also be examined. You may attend this HyFlex section Face-to-face on campus or Sychronous (at the scheduled class time on Zoom).
