Working one-to-one with children to improve their oral expressive skills and articulation is a frequent job requirement for educational assistants. Implementing programs prescribed by speech-language, pathologists requires a deep knowledge of language and speech development. Issues and techniques involved in teaching children with communication disorders will be examined. Prerequisite: Enrolled in the EA certificate program OR if you are employed in the early learning child care field a letter from your employer on a company letterhead indicating you work with children ages birth to school age.
