This course further examines the characteristics, signs and symptoms of the most common mental health concerns facing adolescent students. There will be an emphasis on exploring the stigma of mental illness and examining appropriate strategies to support students. Prerequisite: Enrolled in the EA certificate program OR if you are employed in the early learning child care field a letter from your employer on a company letterhead indicating you work with children ages birth to school age.
